Tivoli is not only an amusement park or a city garden. It's one of Copenhagen's most famous landmarks. It has been operating since 1843, attracting close to 4 million tourists each year.
Bring the kids during the months of April to September and they will be kept busy with the carousels and rides (including the famous Star Flyers), allowing you time for a cup of coffee in the beautifully trimmed gardens. It is located in the heart of Copenhagen, adjacent to the central station and attached to the luxurious Nimb hotel. You have a choice of either an entrance ticket and pay for the rides as you go, or a multi-ride ticket that covers everything. Also, if you are there during mid June to mid August, go on a Saturday, and you will catch some spectacular fireworks in the sky.
