Its location by the river makes Tate Modern museum look more than a factory on the docks, rather than a fashionable museum. But all that talk about modern and contemporary art is objective. So if you come across an empty canvas in the Tate, don’t bother blaming it for lack of taste.
Modern art is often shocking, too complex, too simple and too difficult to understand. That said, the Tate Modern is for those who understand all of the above.
If everything seems too obscure for you, there is also a famous cubist Picasso portrait in the house.
There is no entrance fee at Tate Modern, unless you are visiting a special exhibit, just a donation if you want.
