The Typing Room is situated inside the Town Hall Hotel, a little far from London center (allow at least 30 minutes if you are going by taxi).
Surprisingly, the modern eatery served fascinating dishes which showcased tremendous skill and technique. The youthful and fresh approach to cooking, resulted in an array of interesting flavor combinations. The freshly baked bread, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with butter with salty beer malt was unforgettable! We tried the short degustation menu with the addition of the Eel dish and we loved everything about it; even the cauliflower! The pigeon and the beet root / white chocolate (!) dessert were also very delicious!
Service was very professional and efficient. Chef Richard who was on duty on the night of the visit orchestrated a fine culinary symphony.
Pricing was reasonable for this level of food, 88 pounds for the short degustation menu.
