London Zoo has been in operation since 1847. That is as long as it gets when it comes to Zoos. It is located in Regent's Park, therefore also called Regent Zoo.
Nowadays, it has 755 species of animals, including tigers, lions, giraffes, camels and penguins. Do try to catch the caretakers when they feed the penguins, which is an interesting London zoo show.
Keep in mind that some animals may not be visible for visitors at all times. So be patient and come back after you've seen something else.
If you visit the London zoo on days that the schools are open, you will probably not find that much traffic compared to school holidays. But it does makes a great day for the kids.
