Le Cilantro is a small, starred restaurant in the center of Arles (yes Van Gogh's Arles) near the overcrowded with tourists stadium area. The biggest risk in such tourist areas is of course the tourists area attitude and the lack of quality food venues.
Food at Le Cilantro is descent and well priced. For a lunch menu (3 course) we paid €30 plus drinks. Not bad. It is one fine option in the area in order to avoid tourist traps and for the reasons explained above. Service on the day of the visit was average.
Now, pay close attention! You may not walk in from the street, even if the restaurant is empty. They will ask for a reservation. Their explanation for turning us down without a reservation was because they were "fully booked", but from what we could see they weren’t. We had to walk a few meters further down the street and call them to make a reservation...
