Situated in the old Dominican Convent of San Telmo in San Sebastian's old town pedestrian area, the San Telmo Museum is innovative by design. Although the convent is old, the new addition illustrates the transition from tradition to contemporary.
Inspired by nature, its sustainable facade boosts uneven angled holes allowing plants to grow freely, while it is covered in recycled aluminum panels. The mountain behind it is one of the two most important hills in San Sebastian, Monte Urgull.
El Greco and Zuloaga are both represented as well as regional artifacts such as Basque clothing, sports and artwork.
