Tacked away inside the Rosenborg Have Park, the Orangeriet restaurant is not easy to find. Once you spot it though, you will have a hard time staying away. You have a choice of where to sit as there are tables both indoors and outdoors. Lunch on its terrace during a sunny day is a very good idea.
Beautifully decorated with contemporary antique, white style, this is the place to try upscale smørrebrød (an open sandwich on rye bread) with all sorts of toppings. Fish tartar, shrimp and salmon are some of the options which capture sea freshness on a bed of rustic bread.
The rest of the menu is pretty simple with goat cheese and lobster salads, and warm duck confit if you are up for it.
Desert menu included a delicious chocolate fondant cake and strawberry cake with almond crust.
Don’t forget to order the classic beer which is a house mix.
