Situated north of north of Helsingborg in southern Sweden, Sofiero used to be a farm, then it became a royal mansion, then a Summer house for Swedish royals. Nowadays, it hosts exhibitions and a variety of events.
The renowned and awarded gardens display thousands of rhododendrons, tulips, kitchen gardens and a green maze. Visit the castle during its high season from April to September if you want to see the palace, the shops, the cafe, or the restaurant, or you can walk in its park during the rest of the season. A kids area is also available.
