Piazza della Repubblica is more a thing to see than do. The square has a car round-about with traffic coming and going, so it is not the quietest square in Rome during daytime.
The cobbled paved piazza is circled by 2 symmetrical buildings and Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri done by Michelangelo in the 15th century, which is a nearby attraction that you can see.
There is also the Fountain of the Naiads in the center, adorned with a series of dynamic statues.
