"A fortified city next to a magnificent castle."

The ancient city of Carcassonne is just a complimentary site to the magnificent Carcassonne castle. It is situated on a hill and appears to be coming out of a fairytale with its drawbridges, towers and cobbled streets.

There are plenty of shops and places to sit in and out of the walled city of Carcassonne, flooded of course with thousands of tourists.
