The location of the Basilica of the Holy Blood is not very eye catching as it sits in a corner at Bruges' second largest square, Burg. But there is something more important for Christians in this church. There is a relic with Holy Blood. Joseph of Arimathea wiped Jesus blood, which was brought to Bruges by the Count of Flanders Diederik van de Elzas in 1150.
There are specific hours to see it so make sure you get there on the specific times.
