Situated inside the Musa Hotel, the Roteo is a fine dining option on the Lake Como. We found it while driving near Cernobbio and called on the spot for a reservation which we were given. On the day of the visit, a linch service on November 23, we were the only customers.
We tried the Risotto with fish cheeks and eggs, the ravioli with chicken and mushrooms and the tacos with ceviche. The ravioli was excellent, the risotto was also interesting and the tacos we would prefer in a hard shell instead of a soft crepe.
In regards to service, though everyone was polite and attentive, there were some efficiency issues. For instance, the waitress that took the order did not write it down and made a mistake. A €90 truffle pasta came, instead of the risotto we ordered, which we had to send back and wait for our risotto to be prepared...
