Located inside the Dante Hotel in the pedestrian area of Lugano, Flamel is a young and modern Bib Gourmand restaurant according to Michelin.
On the night of the visit we tried the Trout, the Pheasant Terrine, the Fusillo with lamb, the Swiss Wague and the White Grouper.
The dishes were professionally prepared with fresh ingredients and their presentation was also quite good. They could however benefit from more refinement in terms of taste, since all the other componenents of a fine dining experience were there. Meaning the White grouper was great but its green accompaniments were too heavy. The Wague was smoked and had a delicious celeriac puree but the accompaning soup was not so tasty. Overall some maturity in refining the menu could elevate this to a star experience.
Service was efficient.
