The magnificent interior of this Swiss Reformed church, is quite suitable for its religious purpose. Geneva's St. Pierre Cathedral dates back in the 12th century. A recent excavation beneath, revealed a plethora of evidence linked to the Roman empire.
Back in the 8th to 10th centuries, it used to be devoted to ecclesiastical and funeral use, while nowadays is used as a Cathedral holding services of both German and French Protestant worshippers. The spiral staircase with its own set of traffic lights on the towers will lead to a wonderful view of lake Geneva, if you ever make it to the top.
