Circled by huge round towers, Chateau de Gordes is visible from a distance as it is situated on top of a hill, crowning the traditional village of Gordes.

The former medieval fortress, is now the Town Hall of Gordes and the Pol Mara Museum. Its architecture is a mixture of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period styles, as it was built during both those periods.
