"Probably one of the most stunning civic buildings in Europe."

It is not strange to encounter an impressive Stadhuis in a major European city. But, Brussels Town Hall is magnificent. Probably one of the most stunning civic buildings in Europe.

The ultra rich sculptures decorating the facade, the perfect proportions and the equally impressive tower with the statue of Archangel Saint-Michael on top set the perfect Gothic backdrop.

An architectural masterpiece on the outside and an artistic and historic heritage site on the inside, as the Brussels Town Hall includes a wealth of paintings, sculptures and tapestries. A guided tour for around €5 may be interesting, if you have time.
